Engineering Design & Proposal

Full PVsyst energy simulation, AutoCAD layout drawing, optimized string sizing, cable sizing and voltage drop analysis, single-line diagram, bill of quantities, technical specifications, and a detailed commercial proposal with ROI breakdown and payback period calculation.

Week 2–3

Contract & Procurement

Upon contract signing, we initiate Tier-1 equipment procurement, prepare and submit all EEHC/DISCO net metering application documentation on your behalf, and coordinate the installation scheduling to minimize disruption to your property.

Professional Installation

Certified rooftop installation: premium mounting structure, panel layout, DC string wiring, protection devices, inverter installation, AC connection, earthing and lightning protection system, and thorough pre-energization safety testing protocol.

What is the payback period for solar in Egypt?

The typical payback period for residential solar in Egypt is 4–7 years, depending on system size, your current electricity consumption, and the EEHC tariff band you are in. With Egypt's exceptional solar irradiation (1,900–2,600 kWh/kWp/year), the financial return is outstanding compared to most global markets.
What is net metering and how does it work in Egypt?

Net metering allows you to export surplus solar energy back to the national grid and receive credits on your EEHC electricity bill. In Egypt, net metering is available through the official DISCO/EEHC program for grid-connected solar systems. Egysol handles the entire application and connection process on your behalf as part of our commissioning service.
How long do solar panels last?

Tier-1 solar panels we supply are warranted for 25 years of power output performance (typically 80% at year 25). Physical product warranties are 10–12 years. In Egypt's climate, properly maintained panels regularly operate well beyond 30 years. Inverters typically carry 5–10 year warranties with extended warranty options available.
Does my roof need to face south for solar to work?

South-facing rooftops in Egypt are optimal, but not mandatory. East and west-facing surfaces also generate strong solar yield in Egypt's climate. Flat rooftops are highly effective when mounted at the correct optimized tilt angle. What happens during a power outage?

Standard grid-tie solar systems shut down automatically during power outages for safety reasons — this is required by EEHC/DISCO regulations. For backup power during outages, we offer hybrid systems with battery storage (e.g., LiFePO4 batteries with a hybrid inverter) that can continue powering your home when the grid is down. We will discuss the right system type for your needs.
